The Skyline Hills subdivision began development in the 1950s, offering a rural/urban setting. Skyline Hills maintains a "country feel" while only a few minutes from two large shopping centers, several freeways, a metropolitan area as well as Michigan State University. The rural feeling is kept by its abundance of mature trees, lack of sidewalks and street lights, and only single-family homes of diverse architecture with moderate-to-long unobstructed setbacks from the road. The north end offers a tree-filled area for those who want to live in the deep woods, and the east side of the street is bordered by well-maintained land under development. 2-4 homes are planned to be built there in the near future. The northwestern edge of the neighborhood is bounded by Meridian Township Land Preserve with walking trails through the woods.
The Skyline Hills neighborhood is steeped in pride of ownership and engagement with our neighbors utilizing our collective talents and resources to resolve any challenges that confront us.
Whether jogging, pushing strollers, supervising tricycles, walking with or without a dog, or just sitting on a porch, the residents of Skyline Hills have created a safe and comfortable environment. We celebrate diversity of population and natural surroundings that Skyline Hills offers its residents, and we welcome those who share this vision and will help maintain its beautiful setting for the future.
